When Microsoft says no, your laptop may not work anymore
Microsoft is currently the only company that doesn’t plan to bring Windows to laptop makers, despite a number of attempts to do so.
As we’ve noted before, Microsoft has been in talks with some of the most established laptop makers about bringing the OS to their devices, including Asus, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Lenovo.
Microsoft also has some plans to bring a version of Windows to Chromebooks, and that hasn’t been made public.
The company hasn’t said when it’ll bring Windows back to laptops.
The company has previously told us that it wants to have Windows on laptop makers’ devices before the end of 2019.
We have yet to see any details from Microsoft on when it plans to announce that, though a spokesperson did give us a statement on a previous version of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.
